Effingham, Illinois (Effingham Radio) – Following storms that moved through Monday night and this morning, flash flooding, heavy rains, and thunderstorm wind damage have been reported across the listening area.

The National Weather Service has reported the following:

9:55am Sullivan, IL Thunderstorm Wind Damage 08/02/2022 Trees were uprooted, large branches snapped, and power lines were brought down.

11:15am Flora, Illinois, 08/02/2022 Wind Damage from a Thunderstorm Several trees have fallen in the city. At the baseball field, a light pole was reported down.
